Durrah's Costuming

I have made cholis, skirts, pantaloons, coin bras, belts, and other costuming elements. My designs range from traditional ATS to more avant-garde pieces like my berry mermaid costume or funky-printed cholis. I do not make and sell Melodia knockoffs, because that is her innovative design and that's intellectual theft.

Costumes on Contract

Cholis: knit or woven, optional apron

Skirts: 10 yard or 15 yard hem tribal skirts. 25 yard hems may be contracted on a limited basis. Mermaid-cut crushed velvet cabaret/tribaret-style skirts. If there's something specific you have in mind, please contact, I may be able to work with you.

Ghawazee coats: These are best done with fittings in-person, so if you're local to the Tidewater area of Virginia, please contact me. I can try to work with you otherwise but it will not be as form-fitting as a custom-fitted Ghawazee coat will be.

Bras: Coined or beaded, custom designs, textiles.

Pants: Pantaloons, bloomers. Custom designs. Please do not ask me to make Melodia knockoffs or knockoffs of Kathleen Crowley designs.

Belts: Fringed practice/beginner belts. Custom designs. Tassel belts for ATS style.

Just a few examples of my costuming work. If you check the image gallery link on the main page, I made the choli and coin bra I'm wearing in both gallery 1 and 2, as well as the tassel belts. You'll see apron-fronted batik cholis that I made on Les Petites Fleurs in the snapshot gallery. The berry and shell bra in the pictures below is a work in progress.
